Ridley X-fire
My cyclocross bike.
My second bike was the Ridley X-Fire.
The lack of brakes and gears on my Leader was a major limitation, so it was time to move onto a more capable bike.
At one point Blue Lug made a blog about the bike, though I’ve long since lost that post.
I rode the X-Fire all the way to 2024 when a car crashed into me and destroyed the front end of the bike. A very sad day, as this was an excellent ride and a despite being carbon it was a resilient bike.
